Foodprint Trax® allows businesses to measure all waste every day and access waste diversion and carbon impact reports.
Waste diversion data is notoriously hard to report. Too often this critical information is opaque within waste bills, roughly estimated, or simply unavailable. We designed Foodprint Trax to solve this. Think of it as a meter for your waste.
Foodprint Trax is configured for each client site’s unique waste handling practices. The app accommodates common wasted materials streams, including cardboard, organics, recycling, and trash. The app uses customized volume-to-weight conversions based on the sites’ actual average bag or container weights to determine total tons of waste by stream.
Foodprint Trax reports are available for view and download on a Foodprint’s web-based dashboard where Foodprint Group organizes all other elements of our clients’ Zero Waste Programs.
Clients can visit their dashboard for real time, monthly and year-to-date summaries for one site, as well as a comparison across multiple sites.
Carbon dioxide savings are automatically calculated using the EPA WARM Model, and we have even integrated the EPA conversion equivalencies to translate this data into digestible concepts, such as cars off the road or acres of forest saved.
The Foodprint Trax tool not only allows businesses to affirm they are on track with diversion goals, but also provides tangible data to improve practices and support hauler negotiations. The app and reporting dashboard are included with the Foodprint Zero Waste Program, but can also be purchased standalone.
Foodprint Trax empowers businesses to control their waste over time, impacting their triple bottom line: people, planet, and profit.
